Thesis

Master-Thesis: “Longitudinal MRI Analysis Method Comparisons for Atrophy Detection in Early Alzheimer’s Disease” (Supervisor Dr. Gabriel Ziegler). We are looking for a highly motivated individual with solid technical background with excellent grades (Biomedical engineering, Psychology, Integrative Neuroscience), programming expertise and strong interest in image analysis and statistics to learn and compare different longitudinal MRI processing and analysis strategies in a large sample of healthy ageing and early Alzheimer’s disease.

Master-Thesis: “MR-based Multivariate Classification of Clinical Groups and Dementia-Types using Machine Learning” (Supervisor Dr. Gabriel Ziegler) We are looking for a highly motivated individual strong technical background with excellent grades (Biomedical engineering, Psychology, Integrative Neuroscience, Data Science), programming expertise (python) and deep interests in Bayesian statistics & AI to implement and apply Bayesian classification algorithms for patient classification (AD and FTD) under uncertainty.

Master-Thesis: “Multimodal structural MRI Analysis using Partial Least Squares in Alzheimer’s Disease” (Supervisor Dr. Gabriel Ziegler) We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong technical background and excellent grades (Biomedical engineering, Psychology, Integrative Neuroscience, Data Science), programming expertise (python) and deep interests in statistics & machine learning to implement and apply multivariate analysis schemes (e.g. PLS and PCA) for micro- (qSM) and macro-structural (VBM) image analysis.

Master-Thesis: “Novelty Detection for Brain Maintenance Indices in Patients at Risk of Dementia” (Supervisor Dr. Gabriel Ziegler) We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong technical background and excellent grades (Biomedical engineering, Psychology, Integrative Neuroscience, Data Science), programming expertise (python) and deep interests in statistics & machine learning to implement and apply one-class classification algorithms for construction of multivariate risk scores in old age using large structural and functional MRI.  

Master-Thesis: “Large-scale MRI Image Processing in early Alzheimer’s Disease” (Supervisor Dr. Gabriel Ziegler) We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong technical background and excellent grades (Biomedical engineering, Psychology, Integrative Neuroscience, Data Science), programming expertise and genuine interests in learning advanced image processing to implement longitudinal structural MRI feature pre-processing using available large-scale databases.
